hi i'm caitlin harrigan​
I am a mom, a dog lover, a coffee addict, and a coach. I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. I graduated with my degree in Exercise Science with a minor in psychology and coaching. In the last two years, I have become a NASM Certified Nutrition Specialist to help people beyond just the gym.
I have always led an active lifestyle but my personal journey with nutrition has been a process of trial and mostly error. I have tried every single restrictive diet out there which ended in weight gain, negative self-talk and body image, to solidly living my most balanced life. I constantly wanted to be thinner, no matter what it took. In turn, I self-sabotaged and either a. ate like crap 24/7 or b. restricted all throughout the week only to binge through the entire weekend. It took years to realize it doesn't have to be this way.
I am so happy to say after years of the yo-yo I have found balance. Once I learned how to look my best without sacrificing my social life or sanity, I knew I had to help others. So, I created Better Balanced. My favorite part about coaching is supporting my clients as they find their balance. I believe in keeping it simple, enjoying pizza once a week, and realizing food does not control your life. I am excited to help you overcome the challenges of restrictive dieting and teach you the Better Balanced way!
